HarborSteel Chisel Set

Picked up the HarborSteel Chisel Set for my shed and ended up taking it onto a paid job the next day. For cabinet fitting, it saved a fair bit of time and felt predictable the whole way through. The chisel set design suits Australian site work — not too fancy, not flimsy, and easy enough for the apprentice to use without babying it. I'd buy it again.

I bought the HarborSteel Chisel Set after getting sick of cheaper gear slowing down hinge recesses. First proper run was a full Saturday and it held up better than expected. The pieces 6 and hornbeam setup stood out straight away, and the edge retention makes it feel more expensive than it is. As a DIY buyer, I notice little things like balance, finish and whether it packs away cleanly; this one gets those basics right. Delivery to Frankston VIC was quick too.

I run a small workshop and the HarborSteel Chisel Set has already earned its spot. We used it across timber clean-up and some messy end-of-day clean-up work. The sharp edges is the main win, but I also like that the case Canvas Roll and woodworking setup lines up with what Tool Harbor advertised. Feels like a real trade purchase, not a gimmick.
